Multiply decimals by whole numbers

In class, we are learning to multiply decimals by whole numbers. So far, we have used models  or base ten pieces. Watch this video to learn how to use base ten grids.

Last week, we began our unit on plotting points on a coordinate plane.  The LearnZillion video attached will refresh your memory and relate a coordinate plane to a map.  The second video shows how to use points on a graph to create pictures (similar to our 2D figures).

In your groups today, your task is to research skeletal muscles and the types of exercises to strengthen them.  NASA astronauts need to exercise their muscles, even in microgravity, so they will not atrophy.  Design a machine that will enable astronauts to exercise in space.
